“Should I invest in the stock market?”
It’s a popular 2023 question from college students looking to start saving and investing. This question is generally followed by, “because, I’m nervous now is a bad time, and that I might lose all of my money.” New experiences can be uncomfortable. Rest assured; you aren’t alone in feeling this way.
When investing for the long-term, in a diversified stock market index or target date fund, don’t think of “investing” as a daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly decision. It’s a lifetime journey. Investing is a long-term relationship, and the more time you have, the more likely you are to meet and even exceed your expectations.
