In Week 5 of Office Hours:
We begin with a discussion of past podcast guest Jonathan Brelsford's interview. Jonathan is Senior Vice President of Finance and Investments at the Pittsburgh Foundation. He talks about the institutional investing model, and lessons that students (and individuals) can learn from that model.

Three takeaways from the conversation with Jonathan

2) Focus on the long-term
3) A better understanding of inflation
Next, we used Kelly Blue Book and Realtor.com to "buy" a car and a home to understand those costs. Any money left over, students were instructed to put in a Roth IRA or 401(k) and model what might happen.
Next, we played a round of "Buy, Sell, Hold!" using 1939 as our staring year to replicate beginning your career during WW2.
